MY TOP 8 MEMORIES AND PLACES OF 2012

2012 was such a crazy year in the world. Hurricane Sandy, Kony 2012, Presidential Debates, the Summer Olympics in London. So much going on, it was hard to keep track with some of it. But, personally I had a ton of great memories and visited a bunch of new places. I was able to do more traveling than normal this year. I was able to visit some friends I had not seen in years. And made some new friends too! With all that, I created a list of my top 8 memories and places of 2012.

8. NEW YORK BATTLECRY - East Rutherford, New Jersey

New York Battlecry has always been a fun event. It’s always a exciting event with 16,000 screaming people with some the top christian music acts preforming. We always capture some amazing footage, and also obtain some amazing memories in the process.

7. HOT N’ FRESH SUMMER - Tyler, Texas

2012 summer in Texas was a blast this year. I had a ton of fun with some great people. But, it became a huge transitional period in my life as well. Out of all the summers I have experienced in Texas, the summer of 2012 will go down as one of my favorites.

6. ADVOCARE 500 - Atlanta, Georgia

I was blessed to experience my first Nascar race with some really dear friends of mine. It was such a fun experience and actually learned a lot more about the sport. I would recommend anyone to experience a Nascar race for themselves at least once.

5. EXPLORING THE BIG APPLE - New York City, New York

New York City is one of my favorite places in the world. This wan’t my first time in the city, but it was my first time to really explore. We took a tour of 30 Rock, see Sister Act on Broadway, and visit the Hillsong church. Love the vibe of the city and would love to live there for a short period of my life.

4. FALL IN THE VALLEY - Sun Valley, Idaho

My first time in Idaho and loved it. I was so blessed to stay with a good friend Tyler’s family while out there. They were amazing and real blessing to me. It was great to spend time with some amazing friends. It was so peaceful and quiet. I loved every minute of it.

3. REUNITED - Kansas City, Missouri

Finally was able to make it out to Kansas City and reunite with some really close friends of mine. Some of them I had not seen since we had worked together at The Center For Creative Media. It was great to see them, spend time with old friends, and make new friends in that area as well. I can’t wait to visit again!

2. MR. ECKHARDT GOES TO WASHINGTON - Sequim, Washington

Washington was so fun and also a first visit for me. I loved the state and can’t wait to get back out there. Such beautiful state, and so much uniqueness. I was out there for 8 days, but it felt like a month. Directed two music videos for Noelle Johnson and was able to work with my great friend Ben Figueiredo too. It was all around a great trip.

1. A FOREVER IN VAIL - Vail, Colorado

Easily my favorite memory of 2012. My best friend Zach got married at the most perfect place in Colorado. To the most perfect woman for him. It was my first time meeting Rachel. But, quickly found how great she was and how AMAZING her family was. Zach and I have been friends since we were 10 years old. I was honored to be his best man in the wedding. It was one of the greatest times of my life.

Overall, 2012 was a great year. Met some amazing people, had great memories, and learned a lot. I look forward to 2013 and the adventures it has in store for me.
